UN Security Council imposed sanctions against three North Korean companies
The UN Security Council on Friday, April 24, imposed sanctions against three North Korean companies in response to the launch of satellites, reported BBC News.
The list of companies subject to sanctions hit large companies North Korea – Bank Tanchon, Korean Trade Mining Corporation Development and Corporation Nyongbyon. As the agency said, they are system-in the DPRK economy.
According to the head of the UN Security Council sanctions, the Permanent Representative of Turkey to the UN Baki Ilkin (Baki Ilkin), all foreign accounts of these companies will be frozen. Deputy Permanent Representative of the DPRK at the UN in response to the sanctions stated that North Korea does not recognize this move. Discussion in the Security Council sanctions against the DPRK in connection with the launch of the satellite itself is a violation of the UN Charter, – he said.
At the Permanent Mission of Russia to the United Nations reported that by the UN measures are not a tightening of sanctions against the DPRK, but concrete filling of the sanctions imposed by resolution 1718 in 2006.
