Spetstribunal on Lebanon has released the four suspects in the Hariri case
MOSCOW, April 29 – RIA Novosti. The Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) has decided to release from detention of four former heads of Lebanese special services suspected of involvement in the assassination of former Lebanese premier Rafiq Hariri, said on Wednesday engaged in pre-preparation process STL Judge Daniel Fransen.
Hariri and 22 others have been victims of a powerful explosion in downtown Beirut progremevshego 14 February 2005 year. All detainees must be released immediately, – said Fransen at a press conference organized in The Hague and broadcast by Lebanese television.
He noted that the request for the release of the suspects had been submitted previously chief prosecutor Daniel STL Belmarom.
The four generals were arrested in August 2005. Heading of general intelligence Jamil al-Sayyid, head of the presidential guard Mustafa Hamdan, head of Homeland Security, Ali Hajj and head of military intelligence Raymond Azar of Lebanese held in prison in the suburbs of Beirut for more than three and a half years.
