FACTBOX ash cloud affects airspace, airports in Europe
Here is a list of affected countries for 2120 GMT on Tuesday and the status of airspace:

AUSTRIA – Airports open at 0300 GMT on Monday.
* BELGIUM – Belgium began allowing landings (the first came from Turkey near 0740 GMT) and is intended to allow some departures from from 1200 GMT.
BOSNIA – Airports open.
* GREAT BRITAIN – Aerospace reopened at 2100 GMT.
BULGARIA – All the airspace and airports are open.
* CZECH REPUBLIC – The airspace and airports are open from 1000 GMT on Monday. The situation will be reassessed at 1000 GMT on Wednesday.
* DENMARK – will open much of its airspace from 0000 GMT on Wednesday until at least 0600 GMT, allowing traffic from Copenhagen and at least four other airports.
* ESTONIA – Airspace open until at least 0000 GMT on Wednesday.
* FINLAND – Airspace remain closed until at least 0600 GMT on Wednesday.
* FRANCE – Air France plans to meet all long-haul flights on Wednesday, some flights to northern Europe remain suspended.
* GERMANY – The airspace restrictions will remain in office1000until 0000 GMT on Wednesday.
* HUNGARY – The airspace is completely open, said the traffic authority air around 0800 GMT on Tuesday.
* REPUBLIC OF IRELAND – airspace reopened.
* ITALY – The airspace has reopened fully.
* LATVIA – Open Aviation Area.
* LITHUANIA – The air space will remain open until at least 1800 GMT, when you take a new decision.

* NORWAY – The airport authority Avinor reopened the entire Norwegian airspace for commercial traffic on Tuesday. The airspace will remain open until midnight GMT. * POLAND – Polish airspace would be reopened at 0500 GMT on Wednesday. ROMANIA – Airspace reopened completely.RUSSIA – All airports open. United States Aeroflot flies via the North Pole.
SERBIAN – Airports open. * SLOVAKIA – Airports and air space open from 1240 GMT Monday. The situation will be reassessed at midnight GMT on Wednesday. * SLOVENIA – Slovenian airspace was opened at 1000 GMT on Tuesday. Has been partially closed since 0200 GMT on Tuesday. SPAIN – 17 airports open. * SWEDEN – Open Aviation Area for flights north of a line that stretches from Stromstad to Stockholm. Stockholm Arlanda Airport is closed until at least Wednesday morning. It allows high-altitude flights over southern Sweden. * SWITZERLAND – The Geneva and Zurich airports reopened on Tuesday morning although some flights were canceled in both places.TURKEY – All airports open. The planes that fly off the cities of Samdun, Sinop and Zonguldak in the Black Sea have been warned not to fly higher than 6,000 meters.
